Woman pleads not guilty over hit-and-run incident at KL marathon

The suspect involved in the hit-and-run during Sunday's marathon in KL has pleaded not guilty to charges of reckless driving and drug posession. 

The 25-year-old single mother was nabbed in Kepong on Monday, and drugs were reportedly found in the rented vehicle. 

2 runners were injured in the collision.


GST will not return, unless Malaysians give mandate for it

The Finance Minister says the govt will only reinstate the GST, IF there is indisputable proof that this is what the people want. 

Lim Guan Eng says Pakatan Harapan was elected on the promise of abolishing the controversial tax, so a clear mandate from the people is needed, if it's to be reinstated. 

Earlier this week, the Malaysian Institute of Economic Research suggested replacing the current SST with a 3% GST rate. 

Greta Thunberg is the favourite to win Nobel prize

Swedish activist Greta Thunberg is reportedly the favourite to win the 2019 Nobel Peace Prize, which will be announced next Friday.

If confirmed, the 16-year-old will become the prize's youngest-ever recipient.

She earned global praise for leading a millions-strong youth movement demanding action on climate change.
