The Education Ministry says degrees issued by local tertiary institutions can now be verified through the E-Skrol app-based blockchain technology.
It adds that anyone, anywhere in the world can find out the data of a graduate of a M'sian university, including his name, and full transcript, through the app and scanning the QR code.
The Ministry says e-skrol will be able to resolve the issue of fake degrees, which had a negative impact on the national higher education system.
