Govt has no plans to introduce congestion charges on private vehicles

There are no plans to introduce congestion charges anywhere in the country on private vehicles to improve the ridership of public transport.
The Transport Minister says the govt doesn't intend to do so as it wants people to use the public transport by providing various incentives.
A congestion charge is a charge for driving a vehicle within a particular zone, usually in a busy traffic area.
Police dismiss rumours of unrest in Little India

Police have rubbished rumours on social media that riots will take place in Little India, Brickfields today and tomorrow.
They assured that the public need not fear of such a thing happening and that the situation there is safe.
The public has also been advised not to easily believe or spread fake news that can cause anxiety in society.
Cops seize nearly 3.7 tonnes of drugs worth RM161m

Authorities say they had seized nearly 3.7 tonnes of drugs worth over 600 million ringgit in the country's biggest drugs haul to date.
They add that Malaysia is a key transit point for illegal narcotics.
Initial investigations found that the suspected drugs were meant for export to a third country.
4 Malaysians and nine foreigners were arrested during the operation.
