Boy in trouble after lodging false police report

A 13-year-old boy in Kelantan is in trouble with the police, after he lodged a false report claiming that he was almost kidnapped by a masked man in a white van last night.
Cops say the teenager made the claim as a joke, and had no idea that it would cause so much trouble.
His claim which went viral on social media, and reportedly sparked fear among parents.
The haze could be making a return to our shores!
The Environment Department told us that the main worry is transboundary haze from hotspots detected in Kalimantan and Sumatra, Indonesia.
It adds, there's been a slight increase in the air pollutant index reading in the southwest of Peninsular Malaysia, as the monsoon winds carried the haze to our shores.
However, it says overall API readings are still under control, while Sabah and Sarawak have so far been spared.
18 students ordered to enter defence over navy cadet's murder

A court in KL has ordered 18 students from the National Defence University to enter their defence, over the murder of a navy cadet 2 years ago.
Another accused was acquitted on charges of abetting, and voluntarily causing hurt.
The victim was allegedly beaten and tortured over several days after he was accused of stealing a friend's laptop.
