Sale proceeds of Equanimity go to 1MDB recovery account

The proceeds from the sale of super yacht, Equanimity, are currently stored in a bank account, that is managed by a local law firm.
The Finance Minister says over RM500 mil was gained from selling the yatch, linked to the 1MDB scandal.
He adds that after settling the maintenance costs, the remaining proceeds are expected to be placed in 1MDB's recovery account by next month.
Lim Guan Eng says it will be used to repay 1MDB's debt, which is about RM51 bil.

E-hailing customers are also expected to experience longer waiting periods.
It's because tomorrow is the deadline for e-hailing drivers to obtain their Public Service Vehicle license, and earlier reports said that, only about 10 percent of the drivers have gotten it so far.
E-hailing companies have urged customers to make early bookings to avoid any inconvenience.

A French study found that drinking just a small glass of about 100 ml of a sugary drinks such as soft drinks a day, may increase the risk of cancer by 18%.
