All 3 opposition members of the Public Accounts Committee have resigned.
The opposition leader says this is until the govt finds a suitable replacement for chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ronald Kiandee, who recently switched parties to become a member of the ruling coalition.
He said the decision to retain Kiandee went against PH's manifesto, which said that the PAC leader should be a member of the opposition.
Meanwhile, Deputy Speaker Nga Kor Ming says Parliament will allow the PAC to conclude ongoing proceedings before selecting a new chairman.
Earlier, PM Tun Dr Mahathir said that PH will keep to that promise, adding Dr Kiandee will only remain as the PAC chairman until a suitable candidate is found.
