MOH considers two vaccines to be made compulsory

The Health Ministry is considering a proposal to make at least two vaccines compulsory for children.
Its Minister says they are the MMR vaccine for measles, mumps and rubella, as well as the vaccine for diphtheria.
The proposal was handed to the government taskforce on vaccinations by the Malaysian Paediatric Association.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Prime Minister says the government will not rush to make them compulsory.

Probe into 3-year-old's death in Langkawi underway, eight witnesses to be summoned
Police will call up eight witnesses, as they continue to investigate the death of 3-year-old Nur Aisyah Aleya, who died in Langkawi.
They include the neighbours of a married couple, who are the main suspects in the case.
According to earlier reports, the child died after suffering a seizure.
The couple then panicked and abandoned her body.
Meanwhile, the couple have been remanded for seven days.

Pasir Gudang schools evacuated due to gas leak to reopen tomorrow
The two schools in Pasir Gudang, Johor that were forced to close this morning due to toxic fumes, could reopen by as early as tomorrow.
Wan Shukor Fadzil, from the State Fire and Rescue Department says it will happen once it gets the all-clear from Bomba and the Department of Environment.
Bomba adds, it's still trying to confirm the cause of the fumes, which came from a nearby river.
According to Berita Harian, witnesses saw a tanker dumping waste into the river, some time before this morning's incident.
Some 1,400 people had to be evacuated from the schools, and some 30 people had to be treated for breathing difficulties, including five who had to be warded.
