The 8 Sarawakians rescued from Liberia were not there because of a job scam.
A local who was hoping to set up a logging camp there brought the men over last month, but abandoned them when his business deal collapsed.
The Sarawakians were flown back to M'sia yesterday after the Foreign Ministry learned of their plight.
Separately, the police are still hunting down 3 more suspects who tricked 47 Malaysians into working for a gambling syndicate in Cambodia.
They are believed to be the masterminds.

The Malaysian Media Council could be set up this year.
The Prime Minister's special advisor on Media and Communications said he has been pushing for a faster implementation...
