BN's Zakaria Hanafi has won the Semenyih by-election, with an over 1,900-vote majority over Pakatan Harapan's Muhammad Aiman Zainali.

The Semenyih polls is the sixth by-election since GE14 - and the first time that a seat has changed hands since the last general election.
Turnout for polling day yesterday was estimated at just over 73% , surpassing the Election Commission's target of 70%.
MCA, MIC To Meet on BN Future
The top leadership of MCA and MIC will meet among themselves in the coming days...to discuss the way forward for Barisan Nasional after what happened in GE14.
According to The Star, these two parties, together with UMNO will then meet at a later date, to decide on the fate of the opposition coalition - of which they are founding members.
JAKIM To Clear The Air On Vaccinations
The Malaysian Islamic Development Department or JAKIM will be assisting the Health Ministry clarify the issue of vaccinations for children - from the religious perspective.

Deputy Minister in the PM’s Department Fuziah Salleh says JAKIM will help explain the issue to the Muslim community, especially with regards to concerns about the halal status of the vaccines.
It comes after the Health Ministry recently said it would present a proposal to the Cabinet soon to call for compulsory vaccination of kids.
