BN Wins The Battle On The Hill
Barisan Nasional has retained the Cameron Highlands parliamentary seat - after its candidate Ramli Mohd Nor won yesterday's by-election.

He defeated his closest contender - Pakatan Harapan's M. Manogaran with a majority of over 3,200 votes.
With the victory, Ramli also becomes the country's first ever MP from the Orang Asli community.
Meanwhile, Bersih 2.0 has called on the EC to lodge a police report, after Manogaran was spotted wearing a party t-shirt at a polling station, which goes against election laws.
The election watchdog said that while Manogaran has since apologised, there is no excuse for such a seasoned election campaigner and lawyer to make such a mistake.

The Pakatan Harapan candidate was escorted out of the polling station, shortly after being spotted wearing the t-shirt with the Pakatan logo.
Smoke Detectors For Loos
There is a call for smoke detectors to be installed in public toilets, to prevent people from smoking inside.

The Deputy Housing and Local Government Minister made the proposal, in reply to people sneaking in to toilets to light up, despite the smoking ban at eateries.
However, he admits such a move will require further discussions, especially since installing smoke detectors can be costly.
More Need SOCSO Coverage
Nearly half of Malaysia's workforce is not covered by SOCSO.
The agency told Berita Harian that some 7.3 million employees dont have SOCSO coverage, leaving them exposed to costly medical bills in the event of a workplace accident.
It is now planning a large-scale enforcement operation to ensure that employers fulfill their obligation, to provide such coverage to their workers.
