The Education Minister has his heart set on improving the quality of teachers in Malaysia, and has announced 5 initiatives to achieve that goal.

Minister Dr. Maszlee Malik said this includes cutting down on paper work for teachers so they can focus on teaching.

Under a new law on digital currencies and tokens that comes into force today, anyone who operates an unauthorised initial coin offering, faces 10 years in jail and a 10 million ringgit fine.
A complete framework will be in place by the end of March.

Taiping and Bukit Gantang in Perak have been declared rabies-infected areas after several dogs tested positive for the virus, including a family pet.
As such, authorities will start vaccinating dogs within and around the infected area from today.

A baby girl in Kelantan has been killed by her babysitter's mom in a tragic accident.
