Dec 16, 2019
An average of 6 people die of Tuberculosis in Malaysia each day!
The Health Ministry says most of the deaths are due to a delay in seeking medical treatment.
It adds, between twenty to twenty-five thousand new TB cases are recorded in the country each year.
Selangor recorded the highest number of cases in 2018, because of its high population density.
While Sabah has the 2nd highest rate of TB because of the presence of illegal immigrants, who do not seek treatment for fear of arrest.
