It's time to save up on water again?

Klang Valley residents will face up to 4 days of water disruption starting next Tuesday.

Air Selangor, SYABAS says the water disruption is a continuation of maintenance works being carried out on water treatment plants across Selangor.

As such, users in Gombak, Petaling, KL, Klang, Kuala Selangor, Hulu Selangor and Kuala Langat will be affected.

PM says in-depth study on new teaching-learning system using IT

The government is looking at a high-tech approach, in its proposal to reintroduce the teaching of Science and Mathematics in English.

The PM says the government is looking at using IT to implement the policy, which is known as PPSMI. 

One proposal being looked into, is to have lessons recorded by the country's best teachers, which will then be distributed to schools.

Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad noted that mastering English is beneficial, and is necessary in management, businesses and job applications.
 

Social media, but not video games, linked to depression in teens

A new study in Canada suggests that not all forms of screen time have a negative effect on the mental health of teens. 

According to the researchers, social media and TV tend to increase the risk of depression among teens. 

However, they found that it's not the case for video games.. saying it makes teens more happy and it's a good pastime.
