Caning should be the last resort, says NUTP

Corporal punishment, like caning, should be the last resort for teachers to discipline students.
The National Union of the Teaching Profession says, says there are many ways to improve a child's behaviour in school including handing them a fine.
This, amids a recent viral case in Johor where a female student was caned by a male teacher.
A woman, believed to be the girl's mother, was seen in a video confronting the teacher about the caning, which left her with several bruises.
KL getting pricier to live and work in

KL has risen 4 spots to 141st, on Mercer's annual list of the most expensive cities to work and live in.
According to Mercer, it's largely because of currency fluctuations, which caused the ringgit to weaken against the US dollar.
Hong Kong was named the most expensive city in the world for a second year running, ahead of Tokyo, Singapore and Seoul.
Water disruption in Shah Alam and Klang

Residents in Shah Alam and Klang are experiencing an uncheduled water supply disruption.
Air Selangor, SYABAS says this is due to repair works on a burst main pipe in Section 15, Shah Alam.
Repairs are expected to be completed within 24 hours.
The disruption currently affects over 90 thousand account holders in 31 areas.
