Perak is next in line to ban child marriage!
The state MB says it will raise the minimum marriageable age to 18 years this year,
He is hoping to table the matter during the next assembly session in July.
Last October, the PM issued a directive for all state govts in the country to raise the legal minimum marriage age to 18 years for Muslims and non-Muslims.
Recovered 1MDB funds will be used to repay debts

The 1.3 billion ringgit recovered from seized 1MDB assets will be used to pay the sovereign fund's 51 billion debt.
The Finance Minister says the funds will also be used to pay legal and litigation costs arising from efforts to recover the assets around the world.
He adds that the government will continue its efforts to recover other 1MDB assets and strengthen internal controls and anti-corruption initiatives.
Yesterday, the Attorney General revealed that the US had returned over 200 million ringgit given up by Red Granite Pictures, a US-based film production company linked to Datuk Seri Najib Razak and his stepson Riza Aziz.
EC urging voters to go to the polls early for Sandakan by-election
Nearly 40,000 eligible voters will cast their ballots in the Sandakan Parliamentary by-election this Saturday.
The Election Commission is urging to plan their time well and to go early to the polling stations instead of rushing at the last minute.
It also advised voters not to give their IC to anyone but only to the authorised election personnel.
