News Wrap-up: Malaysia launches new anti-smoking campaign

The Health Ministry has launched a new five-year anti-smoking campaign.
It says the campaign aims to recruit non-smokers, to help encourage those who smoke to quit.
Their help is vital, as non-smokers make up 85% of the population.
Meanwhile, the ministry says social support from family members and friends could also motivate smokers to stop the habit.

Police are tracking down a 42-year-old woman from Penang who's accused of abusing her three children.
She's allegedly beat her kids and also stopped them from going to school.
The woman reportedly fled to Kedah after her own mother lodged a police report against her.

The govt will announce the duration and items that will fall under the Hari Raya Price Control Scheme, after the first week of the fasting month.
It says it's still in discussions with relevant parties about the details.
Earlier, the Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry said it wants to extend the price control scheme's enforcement period, from 2 weeks currently.

The govt is still paying out the salary for missing runner Ashraf Hassan, who disappeared in Gopeng, Perak in March.
The Health Ministry says Ashraf, who works at the Muar Health Clinic, is listed as missing.
As such he will continue to enjoy his rights and benefits as a civil servant until his fate is confirmed.
