Govt to study quota system for matriculation programmes

Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad says the government will study the quota system used for matriculation programmes.

He is responding to a call to abolish the 90:10 quota system.

Earlier, the Cabinet said the qouta for the pre-university programme will be retained.

But it will meet on Wednesday to discuss the matter in detail.

High Court ruled to stop sharing recordings of Najib's trial

The KL High Court has prohibited any parties from uploading and sharing any recording of Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s ongoing trial on social media.

It warned that stern action will be taken if the ruling is breached.

The court made the order, after Najib's former aid reportedly posted a video of the proceedings to his Facebook page, and it went viral. 

Police are also investigating.

Water supply disruption is something unavoidable

The Water, Land and Natural Resources Ministry says the water supply disruption in the Klang Valley on Wednesday is unavoidable.

It says tthe repair works had been planned much earlier by Air Selangor and National Water Services Commission, SPAN. 

The water cut will affect over 570 areas in KL and Selangor, involving some 4.1 million residents.
