Sudan unrest keeping Malaysians abreast
Apr 19, 2019
95 Malaysian students are taking refuge at the Malaysian ambassador's house in Sudan.
There is unrest in the country at the moment, after the President was ousted for crimes against humanity, and his two brothers arrested for corruption.
Tens of thousands of protesters still roam the streets, demanding for a transition to a civilian government, after the army announced it was taking over for two years.

JPJ has long faced corruption too
Corruption is a long-standing issue in the JPJ, said the Transport Minister.
Anthony Loke said the government had heard of such corrupt practices, but gathering evidence took time.
He was commenting on the arrest of 31 individuals by the MACC recently, in which 24 of them were Penang JPJ officers.
They are accused of receiving about 10 and 32 thousand ringgit a month, to not take action against lorry drivers who committed traffic offences.
