Tun M asks for proof of Special Branch's involvement in Amri Che Mat and Raymond Koh cases
Apr 04, 2019
The Prime Minister wants Suhakam to show evidence that the Special Branch was responsible for the disappearance of Amri Che Mat and Pastor Raymond Koh.
"This is merely hearsay. I don't know whether they have evidence to prove that this is what happened. If they have, of course we have to take it up."
Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad was commenting on a report from Suhakam, claiming the two activists were taken by the Special Branch in 2016 and 2017.
Meanwhile, Tun M also said the IGP, who was leading the Special Branch at the time, will be allowed to retire before he's investigated for his alleged involvement.

More by-elections underway?
All GE14 ballot boxes for the Sipitang parliamentary seat in Sabah will be rechecked tomorrow.
This comes ahead of a court case next Monday, which sees Warisan Candidate Noor Hayaty Mustapha trying to nullify the Sipitang elections results.
Back in GE14, the seat was won by Yamani Hafez Musa, the son the then-Sabah chief minister Tan Sri Musa Aman.
The trial for the Kimanis Parliamentary seat petition will also start next Monday.
The Kimanis case was brought by Parti Warisan Sabah candidate Datuk Karim Bujang, who lost the seat to Yamani's uncle Datuk Seri Anifah Aman in GE14.
