Looks like we won't get to watch Najib's corruption trial LIVE after all

Apr 02, 2019

Former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak's highly-anticipated corruption trial begins tomorrow, but we won't get to watch it LIVE.

The Federal Court has clarified trials in any court are not allowed to be broadcast LIVE, nor recorded.

This follows calls from several quarters, including Najib himself, for the trial to be aired.

A petition calling for a LIVE broadcast has also amassed about 47,000 signatures.

Rafidah Aziz talks about politicians on social media, and parents on their children

Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz believes politicians should watch what they say on social media, and avoid the bad example shown by US President Donald Trump.

At a Sinar Harian forum yesterday, the outspoken former minister says Trump is well known for his erratic tweets about government policy, which Malaysian politicians should avoid.

On another note, she believes some parents need a reality check when it comes to caring for their children.

She says children who receive proper guidance from their parents have a lower chance of showing extreme behaviour, like drug abuse.
