Musa Aman claims trial to 16 new charges

Tan Sri Musa Aman has pleaded not guilty on 16 counts of money laundering, related to timber concessions amounting to over US$30 mil.
The former Sabah Chief Minister is accused of committing the offences in Hong Kong and Singapore, between 11 and 13 years ago.
No bail was imposed, as Musa is already out on a RM2 mil bond for his previous corruption charges.
Back in November, he claimed trial on 35 counts of corruption amounting to RM263 mil.

MACC questions the KTMB chairman over PAS 1MDB payment
The MACC has questioned the KTMB chairman and two others, over allegations that PAS received some RM90 mil of 1MDB money.
They are the latest to have their statements recorded over the matter.
Previously, the Commission had questioned a number of PAS leaders, including spiritual leader Datuk Hashim Jasin, Sec-Gen Datuk Takiyuddin Hassan and central committee member Nik Abduh Nik Abdul Aziz.

Man arrested after attacking daughter with sledgehammer
A 58-year-old man in Parit Buntar, Perak has been arrested for allegedly attacking his own daughter with a sledgehammer.
According to district police, the man was upset because the 24-year-old woman had yet to get a job despite graduating with an accounting degree.
The victim is in critical condition with serious head injuries.
