Subang Jaya temple task force files judicial review
Feb 04, 2019
The Sri Maha Mariamman Temple Task Force is seeking a judicial review, after being excluded from the inquest into the death of firefighter Muhammad Adib Kassim.
Earlier, the Coroner's court rejected the task force's bid to become an interested party in the inquest, saying there were no real, substantive or reasonable grounds to do so.
24-year-old Adib was killed on the second night of violence at the temple in Subang Jaya, in November last year.
Some people claimed that he was injured in a vehicle accident while others alleged that he was assaulted by rioters.
The inquest, which starts next Monday aims to determine what exactly happened.
