No more discounts on traffic summonses

There won't be anymore discounts on traffic summonses.
The Transport Minister says he will hold talks with the police and local authorities to stop offering discounts.
He says this is to create fear among road users to abide by traffic rules whilst reducing road accidents.
Anthony Loke says currently JPJ has stopped offering discounts for traffic summonses as it comes under his Ministry.
Malaysia jumped one spot to 61 in corruption index
Malaysia has been ranked 61 out of 180 countries in Transperancy International's 2018 Corruption Perception Index.
We jumped one rank up from last year to be on par with Romania and Cuba.
The countries are ranked based on how corrupt their public sector is perceived to be.
Denmark topped the list, followed by New Zealand and third place was shared by Finland and Singapore.
Android TV boxes could soon be a thing of the past !
Android TV boxes that consumers use to access pirated content, may soon be a thing of the past!
MCMC says the sale and ownership of such boxes is illegal in Malaysia, and the commission could intervene to regulate its usage.
It explains the Android TV boxes may require Sirim approval, or the pirated content may come under the purview of copyright infringement.
Earlier this month, Singapore proposed a ban on the sale of set-top boxes or media streaming boxes with services that grant access to pirated content.
