The government is looking into the possibility of enacting anti-stalking laws in the country.

Datuk Liew Vui Keong says stalking should be classified as a crime, because it can make someone feel unsafe and threatened.

The Minister in the PM's department says several countries, including in Asia, had such laws already in place where action can be taken if there are complaints filed.

He adds that stalking can stem with harassment through messaging platforms, social media, telephone calls and emails.
