Artist blesses Toto's Africa with new art piece
Jan 15, 2019
Toto's Africa is now playing on a non-stop loop.. in Africa!
A Namibian artist built a sculpture that has 6 speakers, hooked up to an MP3 player that contains the hit song, and placed it at an undisclosed location in the Namib desert.
It's powered by solar batteries.

27-year-old Max Siedentopf told the BBC he made the art piece as a tribute to the song, which was first released in 1982.
Africa became even more popular recently after becoming an internet meme.
In fact, in 2017 it was the most-streamed song on YouTube with 440 million views.
